About Us

Owner Mylo Wells opened Wells Hometown Drug in Bloomfield, Iowa in December 2018. After receiving his Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Iowa, Mylo saw an opportunity to give back to the community he grew up in. He wanted to provide southeast Iowa with higher quality pharmacy services than were available through the regional chain pharmacies in the area. Wells Hometown Drug now provides Bloomfield area residents with an independent pharmacy and durable medical equipment supplier option. In January 2022, Mylo took his dream further and opened a second location in Keosauqua, expanding services to more residents in southeast Iowa.

Our passion is service.

Our passion is to provide Davis and Van Buren counties with clinical pharmacy services. We offer our customers old fashion customer service and quick turn-around on prescriptions by filling orders in house. We also provide free delivery in a 25-mile radius, free mailing,* and free curbside pick-up options.

*Mailing available for patients with most but not all insurance plans

Wells Hometown Drug is a member of the Community Pharmacy Enhanced Services Network (CPESN). CPESN pharmacies make patients a priority. We build relationships with customers’ local care teams and regularly check in on medically complex patients.

To best care for our customers, in addition to a full selection of over-the-counter products, we also sell durable medical equipment, including walkers, crutches, nebulizers, ostomy supplies, and diabetic supplies. We accept Medicare and Medicaid for these items.

It’s our pleasure to serve the Bloomfield and Keosauqua communities, and we thank our customers for trusting us with their prescription and healthcare needs.
