Mylo Wells, PharmD

Owner

Mylo grew up in both Bloomfield and Milton Iowa working on two of the family farms. He completed 2 years of pre-pharmacy coursework at Iowa State University and obtained his Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Iowa in 2018. Mylo became interested in owning his own pharmacy after working at Lee Pharmacy in Keosauqua beginning in 2013. A few of his favorite things about his job are; helping patients understand their medications and disease states, being in a setting that allows him to practice at the top of his license, being able to talk with his patients about their interests outside of healthcare and developing business relationships with other local healthcare facilities and providers.

Caitlin Rohrbaugh, PharmD

Mary Lawson, RN, CPhT

Registered Nurse, Certified Pharmacy Tech

Mary grew up in rural Davis County near Monterey, Iowa. Mary graduated from Indian Hills Community College with her associate degree in nursing in 1984. Upon graduation, she was employed full time as an acute care, ICU, and emergency room nurse. In 1987 she began working in family practice and was there for 32 years. Mary joined Wells Hometown Drug in 2019. Her favorite thing about her job is being able to continue taking care of many of the same patients that she has for the last three decades. You may find Mary giving shots, taking blood pressures, or counting prescriptions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why haven’t I heard of this before?

The rules were just released in August to allow pharmacists to expand their scope of services in Iowa. We are the first pharmacy in the state to open a pharmacist-led walk-in clinic.

Are we qualified?

Yes, at Wells Hometown Drug, we only hire the highest quality of pharmacists available. All our pharmacist providers have completed intensive clinical training to provide the best care for you and your family.

Cost & Coverage

Medicaid Patients: Our services are fully covered with no patient copay as we are recognized providers by all 3 Iowa medicaid providers.

Cash Pay: $50 per patient per visit
Telehealth option: $50 per patient per visit
More than one patient in the same family, with a visit scheduled at the same time: $50 for the first patient; $40 per patient for additional patients

If labs/tests are ordered, those will be billed to the patient in addition to the visit fee.

If you have commercial insurance or Medicare, pharmacists are not yet reimbursed as providers, so you will be subject to cash pricing. Our services are HSA/FSA eligible and are half the average copay for a typical urgent care visit.
